A squad with some issues. Who should start for Leeds against Ipswich?

With Morison missing against Watford things started well. They didn’t end in the same fashion however. Rodolph Austin has been ruled out for three weeks but Morison should be available, with Bianchi, N’Goyi, White and Bianchi still missing. This is who I would play tomorrow. We’ll start with an obvious one

Silvestri k

GK – Marco Silvestri – Although he has been a bit dodgy sometimes, he’s definitely going to play, he’s got potential but he really needs to sort his catching and kicking out.

wootton

RB – Scott Wootton – I quite like Wootton, he clearly isn’t the best right-back but he may grow into the position. There’s also a lack of options, Berardi is scary.

Sol bamba

CB – Sol Bamba – He may not have had the best game against Watford but he’s our best CB and I think he should continue, hopefully he can help everyone around him like he was doing before.

Cooper k

CB – Liam Cooper – Some people have called for Bellusci to come in but I really think Cooper is going to be a great player. Bellusci for me is just too dodgy, I always think he’s going to mistake. He’s not bad back up though.

Taylor 2

LB – Charlie Taylor – Obvious this one, our only actual left-back. He’s done an amazing job since Warnock went to Derby and in some ways has actually been better than Warnock himself. He should be given a new contract at the end of the season, or sooner.

CDM – Lewis Cook – I still can’t believe just how good he is at 18. I will be amazed if he’s still here next season, sadly. I can’t believe he hasn’t signed a new contract yet though, we should at least be making sure we get a lot of money for him. He’s exceptional.

LUKE MURPHY CELEBRATES SCORING LEEDS WINNER IN INJURY TIME

CDM – Luke Murphy – The transformation of Luke Murphy is crazy, he’s consistently one of our best players now and when we play well, he’s running the midfield.

SAm b

RM – Sam Byram – Sam has been fantastic in his advanced role, he was struggling at right-back but he’s like a different player currently. You could see how much we missed his pace against Brighton.

Sloth

CAM – Casper Sloth – With Austin injured I think it’s time we let Sloth start a game in his proper position. He came on against Reading and was excellent, then we play him out wide and he’s just not a winger, it’s obvious to see. I do rate Sloth, I think he could be great.

Alex Mowatt

LM – Alex Mowatt – He didn’t have the best game against Watford but he’s still well worth being in the team, we also have a distinct lack of options on the left to be honest. Adryan is a possible choice but I don’t think he’d do the defensive work which is required.

Sharp

ST – Billy Sharp – With a goal and a good performance against Watford he definitely deserves to play. He offers more of a goalscoring threat than Morison and to be honest, that’s what a striker should do.

I have a feeling we’ll beat Ipswich, not sure why. It may be because they signed Luke Varney and for that they deserve to lose. It’ll be a small crowd though so that could play a key role. All we need is a few more wins to guarantee safety and then we can start trying some different players like Kalvin Phillips.

    You pick Cooper
    How dare you
He’s the worst player ever to wear the shirt.
Total failure and way out of his division.
Captain as well but a Hock purchase.
Do you actually go to the games?

Amazingly mate, I do. Half of this squad is worse than Cooper, never mind previous years.

I think coopers a great prospect and I go to games, wootton for me is the weak link he likes to get forward then can’t get back yet the club gave him a new contract very puzzling.
toCooper covers for him at the detriment of his own game we will see if he retains his place against Ipswich

    ciao cellino forza leeds
