Leeds set to face a good Bournemouth side, who should start for the Whites?

|

After a decent point at Birmingham, Leeds head to a good side in Bournemouth, it will no doubt be a tough game but who should start for Leeds? Changes are likely after Redfearn confirmed that there are a few niggles.

Silvestri

GK – Silvestri – Obvious one here, Silvestri has been our best player so far this season in my opinion. His shot stopping is class and he deals with crosses better than any of our recent keepers.

Into the defense…

Byram
RB – Sam Byram – There was nothing wrong with Berardi’s performance on Saturday but Sam Byram when he plays well is definitely the best Right-back in the league. Now the haze of the transfer window has gone I’m sure he’ll start playing to his potential again, he offers a lot more going forward than Berardi.

Should Cooper be brought in?
Cooper

CB – Liam Cooper – In my opinion, Cooper should be brought in for Jason Pearce. This is probably an unpopular opinion but I think Cooper is already a good player for this level and has the potential to be great, Pearce always has a mistake in him.

Who should Cooper replace?
Bellusci

CB – Giuseppe Bellusci – I’m sure some of you will be thinking that Bellusci should be dropped if anyone, rather than Pearce. I know he’s made a few mistakes but when he’s fully settled and got used to the league I think he’ll be one of the better Centre-backs in the league. Him and Cooper are also both good with the ball at their feet, Pearce, not so much.

Should Warnock keep his place?
taylor

LB – Charlie Taylor – This one may surprise some people but I would bring in Charlie Taylor. With the diamond formation we need some pace in the full-back positions and Taylor offers this. Don’t get me wrong, Warnock has been great this season but I feel that we need some more pace in that position. It’s also possible that Warnock is one of the players with a niggle as he isn’t getting any younger.

Into the midfield…
lewis c

CDM – Lewis Cook – This one is obvious really. He’s been our best outfield player this season, at only 17 years old as well. He plays like a 28-year-old, he doesn’t waste the ball and is good at stopping attacks. We need to give him a contract ASAP in my opinion because Premier League clubs will soon be interested. He could play for us for 20 years.

On the Right…
austin

RCM – Rodolph Austin – I’m definitely not one of Austin’s biggest fans but his appearance against Birmingham shows that he has something to offer, Bianchi really didn’t do much in the game and Austin also offers a bit more pace, making it easier for him to cover others.

To the left…

alex-mowatt-vs-doncaster_tsbfet7n5o3217n0ximstsujk

LCM – Alex Mowatt – He didn’t have the best of starts to the game on Saturday but his second-half performance was top class, with a great goal to suit. He’s an excellent passer of the ball and works well with Cook.

In the hole…

Sloth

CAM – Casper Sloth – Sloth really impressed me against Birmingham and Bolton, he looks like he’s got something about him. Another good passer of the ball, this position is really a toss-up between him and Adryan. I personally would keep Adryan on the bench until the Huddersfield game for the simple reason that it’s a home game.

Onto the strikers…
Sharp

St – Billy Sharp – I felt sorry for Billy after the last game, he just wasn’t getting the service. However I think we should stick with him as we all know he’s got a goal in him.

Last but not least…
Doukara

St – Souleymane Doukara – I wasn’t too impressed with Antenucci at the weekend but he showed a few promising signs. However I would start Doukara, he has looked good in every game he’s played for us so far and offers that required pace upfront.

I expect there to be quite a lot of disagreement with this team selection. Let me know in the comments what team you would play tonight. MOT.

Couldnt argue with any of the players that you suggest bringing in but I would only rest any players who are injured. Im a big believer in consistency despite our huge squad. Good article

Interesting selection…i definitely agree that Cooper is a far better ball playing cb than Pearce. Pearce is like Michael Dawson at Spurs…good solid heart on sleeve old fashioned defender but looked like a throwback whenever the ball came to him as his first thought was to boot it upfield.
We seem to be evolving as a ball playing team and all the outfield players look comfortable on the ball. For this reason I believe Billy Sharpe should also sit on the bench as Antunuchi has a better technique for holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Warnock had a good game again and seems comfortable on the ball no doubt due to his development at Liverpool. For me he should remain for the experience and also be made captain.
Midfield is great as we have so many options but as long as his fitness holds up Lewis Cook is first on the list for me. Didn’t put a foot wrong all game.
All in all everything is looking promising.
    MOT Forever.

I don’t disagree with Bellusci playing, i think he switched off for the goal on this weekend but other than that was defending well. My problem with him was that once he had the ball he was just lumping balls forward with almost no direction to them.
