Radrizzani doing in one day what Cellino couldn’t in 3 years

Andrea Radrizzani took full control of Leeds United today and in his first full day in charge, he’s signed an extremely talented youngster in Ronaldo Vieira to a four-year contract.

Cast your mind back to when Lewis Cook was in the exact same situation and Cellino gave him a one year extension, hence why we sold him for half of his true value. It’s an extremely strong start from Radrizzani, with Monk also expected to have his contract confirmed in the coming days. There has also been rumours that the South stand is going to be upgraded, removing the boxes and adding more seats, this isn’t confirmed as of yet but may explain why there’s scaffolding up at Elland Road at the minute. This would be a great move in my opinion, the boxes in the South stand hardly get used and it would improve the atmosphere to have more regular seats in there, along with getting us back towards the 40,000 capacity mark.

Obviously Radrizzani still has a lot to do and we’re not worshipping him just yet, but it’s extremely positive. No youngster has signed a four-year deal at Leeds for some time now, it’s extremely important that we keep and build around them. We didn’t do it with Cook, Byram or Taylor so starting now is the least Radrizzani can do. If he confirms Monk this week, he can start making moves. It’s definitely not too early, Newcastle made their first signing of the summer today and our season starts before theirs. It’s really starting to feel like a new era at Leeds, and I can’t wait.

Another Cellino hater! Pointless article. Yes I’m not condemning most of Cellinos actions at the club but for starters Cook wanted to Leave. Viera doesn’t. Bit easier to tie someone down to a contract. The truth in the end is Cellino put the club on a sound footing. Fact regardless whether you like the bloke or not. Radriazzni has lots to show yet so don’t jump the gun! Giving Monk a 1 year extension! ? I wouldn’t be surprised if he upped and left. That’s not good good business from a so called business minded person. We will see but he has ALOT to live up to as again he has promised many things and given us one! The buying out of Cellino. He has a long long way to go.

No more scandals and bad publicity will help too!!
    A proper club at last?
Lets bring our new players in early, before pre-season would be handy!!
I feel sympathy for Massimo’s new club in Italy!!
