Redders returns, who should start for Leeds?

|

After yet ANOTHER international break, Leeds return to Elland Road to play Steve Evans’ old side and Neil Redfearn’s new side, Rotherham. Leeds go into the game on the back of two victories and I expect a good showing.

Silvestri played well against Huddersfield but he needs to be more consistent, he’ll definitely start on Saturday.

Fullbacks – Scott Wootton was probably our worst player against Huddersfield and should have been sent off, I’d personally prefer Byram to play but I think Evans will select Wootton. I’d definitely expect Berardi to continue, he’s been one of our best players this season.

Centre-backs – Liam Cooper went off injured after he and Wootton ran into each-other against Huddersfield so there is a decision to be made here. I would personally go with Liam Cooper and Bellusci because although I am not a fan of Bellusci, they played well together against Cardiff and if Cooper wasn’t injured they’d have finished together at Huddersfield too.

Midfield two – Evans will almost definitely play a 4-4-2 for the game but who should be the midfield pairing? With no new signings (shock) I can see Evans keeping the same side and starting Lewis Cook and Luke Murphy in the centre of midfield, they played well together last time out.

Wide players – Stuart Dallas seems to keep getting better, he was my MOTM against Huddersfield and he will definitely start. I would really like to see Botaka start because I think he’s special but obviously we have to play Mowatt and if we’re playing 4-4-2 he has to be out wide currently.

Strikers – Still no new signings, Antenucci and Wood will continue up top, they both seem to be getting better game by game.

Really I would expect us to win this comfortably, around 2 or 3-0 but with Redfearn returning anything could happen. I can imagine Rotherham’s game plan involves a lot of crosses right on Silvestri. It should be interesting.
