Former Manchester City favourite Uwe Rösler is believed to be in talks with Massimo Cellino about becoming Leeds United’s new head-coach. With Neil Redfearn still none the wiser as to whether he will still be at the club next season in any sort of capacity, it appears Cellino is trying to completely ruin the relationship between the pair, and between himself and the fans. According to the YEP, another ex Brentford boss, Mark Warburton along with Gus Poyet and Nigel Adkins are also being touted as possible replacements for Redfearn.

Rösler has managed three teams in Norway – Lillestrøm, Viking and Molde – with relatively little success. His biggest achievement was reaching the Royal League final in 2006 with Lillestrøm. With Viking he finished third in the Norwegian Premier League. In 2011, Rösler returned to English football as he took over at League One side, Brentford. In his first season in charge he guided the Bee’s to a ninth place finish, their highest for six years. He bettered that in his second season and almost took them up automatically. All they had to do was beat Doncaster Rovers in their final encounter, they lost 1-0 and Doncaster themselves were promoted automatically. In the play-off’s they were defeated 2-1 by Yeovil Town.

His next move was to Wigan Athletic, who were relegated from the Premiership the previous season. He lasted less than a year in charge of the Latics, as he was sacked in November 2014. If Rösler was to take over, he would be the first German coach in the club’s history.

What manager/coach, of any quality, in their right mind, is going to offer their services to Cellino . We have a coach already, who is Leeds thru and thru, and he’s going to turf him out. He deserves more time and control of incoming players so we can get promotion.
I think the Bookmakers will be opening a book as to how many coaches we will go through this season. It really beggars belief what
Cellino is doing to our Club. He is egotistic and arrogant. Right now I would welcome Red Bull with open arms.
