With Doukara suspended, who should replace him?

|

With Doukara picking up his fifth booking of the season against Norwich, he will miss the game at home to Wolves. Although he scored on Tuesday, he does seem like he may need a rest after some average performances from him. Who will replace him? I’ll tell you who I think should, after the rest of the team is decided, of-course. Just so you get the idea, the formation I’m using here is 4231.

GK – Marco Silvestri – Yet again, he’s a brilliant keeper, kept us in it again on Tuesday night. Seems almost too good for us, don’t tell the Premier League.

SAm b

RB – Sam Byram – Had a decent game on Tuesday night, needs to get back on form but he’s always a better option than Berardi.

Bellusci

CB – Giuseppe Bellusci – Despite the controversy around him, he should still play. I think he’s a vital part of our team and will only get better.

Cooper

CB – Liam Cooper – Again, I really think Liam Cooper should be given a chance, he’s looked great when I’ve seen him and his pace is a vital asset, something Jason Pearce doesn’t have.

LB – Stephen Warnock – Here’s a tip Darko, please play our best left-back at left-back, not a right-back. Cheers. Definitely deserves to be in the team on this seasons form.

CDM – Lewis Cook – I was very unhappy with him being dropped for the Norwich game, hopefully Darko was just keeping him fresh for the Wolves game. Top, top player.

bianchi

CDM – Tommaso Bianchi – He’s a vital player in this Leeds team when on form, he doesn’t waste or lose the ball and will help Lewis Cook progress.

Mirco Antenucci

RM – Mirco Antenucci – Antenucci is an obvious starter, he can do great damage on the right, he played there a bit on Tuesday night in the second half when we changed the formation. He’s got the skill and pace required to do a good job there.

ADRYAN

CAM – Adryan – Looks a great player, he got a decent assist for Doukara’s goal on Tuesday night and looked quality against Rotherham. I’m looking forward to seeing him at Elland Road, where he should be even more effective.

Sloth

LM – Casper Sloth – I personally would give Casper Sloth the nod over Alex Mowatt, who I feel may need a rest. Neither of the two are blessed with pace but Sloth has just that bit more and I think he deserves a go.

Sharp

ST – Billy Sharp – This seemed an obvious one to me, though I’m not sure Darko will agree. I have a feeling he’s going to start Steve Morison, which I disagree with wholeheartedly. Billy Sharp really deserves another chance and we all know he’s got a goal in him. I hope he takes his chance.

Do you agree with this team? Should Morison start? Or maybe you saw Montenegro in the development games and think he deserves a shot, let us know.

I agree. I think Casper Sloth has a lot more to offer us going forward. Hope he gets the chance. Sharp is great for the 4-3-3. He can be a poacher like McCormack used to at times. The problems are with the back 4. We have got to get things under control back there and they need to be pushing up the field instead of sitting back.

Don’t agree with your assessment of Stephen Warnock … he was left out for two games in favour of Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi. The team managed a draw in both those games and the defence looked better, he was brought back for one game and we lost. He was left out against Norwich in favour of Berardi and we managed an away draw even with the defence under heavy pressure. Sorry, but I’m not Warnock’s greatest fan and I would prefer to see Berardi there … or Charlie Taylor.

If Billy Sharp is injured as reported …

    Silvestri
    Byram – Bellusci – Cooper – Berardi
    Sloth – Cook – Adryan – Bianchi – Montenegro
    Antenucci.

I’d sit Mowatt this next game as well, just hasn’t really looked good the last few games. I’d go Cook, Bianchi, Austin/Sloth, Adryan
